In Episode 6 of Video Game Grooves, we get a little brassy and get knocked off our feet by a slow hand. Anthony, Paul, and Jeremy discuss the latest and greatest news in the world of video game music on vinyl record, and alert you to some upcoming releases you may want to be aware of!
Our featured albums this week include Fight Songs: The Music of Team Fortress 2, by Mike Morasky (performed by the Valve Studio Orchestra). We swing on a “big band” spectrum Jeremy says ranges from Henry Mancini to Danny Elfman, and have a lot of fun doing it, as we hope you do too! Next, Paul takes us to the slower side of Hotline Miami and shows us that not all music that kicks our butts has to be heavy and up-tempo.
In our third segment, our SPECIAL GUEST (who shall not herein be named!) reveals a special new release for this week, exclusively detailed here on Video Game Grooves. Astute readers of our blog and show notes might get a hint at the specifics by scrolling down just a little bit for some really beautiful artwork on the release.
Enjoy our new episode, and share with everyone you know! <3
